Second Free Club Night

We’ve held our first free club night, making a Tumbling Blocks coaster, and now we’re looking forward to our September free club night.

This is going to be a bigger project (which we may not finish in one night!), making a skirt.  This sort of project doesn’t happen very often!

It will be held on Wednesday, 29th September at 8pm and will be free to join via Zoom.  Sign up to get the Zoom login.

The session is free, but you will need materials, which you can either provide yourself, or order a pack from me.  The pack will contain enough fabric (white) to make the skirt, interfacing for the waistband, a button, a zip and fabric dye to decorate your skirt.  The cost of the pack is £22.30, including UK postage.

Alternatively, you may have fabric in your stash, you can buy fabric or you could check out your local charity shops and use shirts or skirts from there, as in the GBSB’s upcycling challenge.  One current trend is mixing and matching designs (see Sew Yeah’s Instagram account for some of her projects).

You will need approx. 3 metres of fabric in total.  Details will be in the email you will receive when you sign up.

I look forward to seeing you on September 29th.

The skirt shown above is from Cotton Traders, and gives you an idea of the sort of thing we’ll be making.
